What is Medicaid Enabled Supportive Housing?
Medicaid Enabled
Oregon is experimenting with using Medicaid funding to cover short-term rent for qualified members, called the 1115 Waiver.
We envision this program enabling a dramatic expansion of subsidized housing availability
Supportive Housing
In addition to rent, patients receive wrap-around services from leading providers to support their heath, economic stability, and tenant-readiness.
Tenants who leave MESH units are then transitioned to Market Rate or further Supportive Housing solutions.
No matter your organization, the Alliance needs you
The housing crisis is an all-hands-on-deck emergency that impacts everyone.
Whether you’re a regulator, service provider, or landlord, we all have a role in expanding safe and stable housing
Patients
Our North Star. All the housing in world doesn’t solve problems unless it addresses patient needs.
Service Providers
The backbone of MESH, Service Providers execute wraparound services and make sure the patient doesn’t become just a number.
Landlords
Demanding the market to change will never bring systemic solutions to housing. Addressing Landlord needs is vital to expanding the availability of housing.
Regulators
MESH success depends on close collaboration between stakeholders and government.
Healthcare Providers
Health and wellness are key influencers on housing stability. Quality and accessible healthcare is crucial to patient success.
